Description

Two things led owner Steve Blumenthal to begin creating beautiful urns. First, he moved to a 55+ community with an amazing woodshop where he met a woodworker with over 40 years experience named Dennis Wright. Dennis made one-of-a-kind urns for local funeral homes and after seeing Steve’s work, invited him to work alongside.

Second, when Steve and his wife lost the last of their dogs, they purchased the standard cremation and urn package, but the urn was basic and simple. Wanting something more beautiful to honor their beloved pets, Steve put his woodworking skills to use and made an urn to hold pet cremains along with a leash, collar, and tags.

Based in South Carolina, Steve’s goal at Lowcountry Urns & Art is to create customized, beautiful wooden urns that help keep memories of your loved one close to the heart.

The cremains memorial heart is a touching design that’s hand-shaped into a solid 3-D heart sculpture with two layers of colored glass inside that glows beautifully when set on a lighted stand. A small amount of your loved one’s cremation ashes are hidden in the “heart” of the memorial.

All our glass memorials are hand-crafted, using top quality crystal glass. The small amount of cremains incorporated into the heart allows you to scatter, bury, or store the remaining cremains in traditional memorial urns and keepsake urns.
